Here is a simple and basic chocolate cake recipe which is sure to be loved by all. And for chocolate lovers, this chocolate cake is going to be simply irresistible.
I love baking, so I like to keep trying different cake recipes. But I loved making and eating this cake so much, that I end up making this cake very often. The cake is so rich and chocolaty that it can be enjoyed plain without any topping or ganache.
Below is a step by step recipe for a simple yet rich chocolate cake.
Makes : 1 Loaf (9*5 “)
Preparation Time : 15 min
Baking Time : 60 min
Ingredients:
All Purpose Flour: 1 n 1/4 cup
Milk : 3/4 cup
Eggs : 3
Butter : 1/2 cup
Sugar : 1 n 1/4 cup
Cocoa Powder : 2/3 cup
Vanilla Essence : 1 tsp
Baking Powder : 1/2 tsp
Instant Coffee Powder : 1 tsp
Salt :1/2 tsp
Icing Sugar : 1-2 tsp(optional)
Method of Preparation:
- Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees. Lightly flour and grease a 9*5 inch loaf tin.
- Add butter, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla essence, baking powder, coffee powder and salt in a large bowl and mix well. The butter should not have any lumps. You will have a grainy mixture.
- Add egg, one at a time, beating well till each egg is completely mixed.
- Add half of the flour and half of the milk and mix well.
- Next, add the remaining flour and and milk and mix again till you have a uniform batter.
- Transfer the batter to the greased loaf tin and bake for 55-60 min -until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Dust lightly with icing sugar(optional).
