Trifle is a delicious dessert which consists of a combination of jelly, sponge cake and custard. you can also make your own version of it by adding fruits of your choice, whipped cream etc. My mom used to make this very often when we were kids and I remember how much we would love it.

Carrots have several health benefits. Carrots being good for the eyes is something I have been hearing since my childhood. In addition to this, carrots are also known to have several other health benefits like promoting healthier skin, preventing infections and slowing down aging.

One thing I miss most in Bahrain is the rains in India, particularly Goa. The smell of the mud after the first rain, the greenery all around, how I wish it would rain like that in Bahrain. However, here there is no rainy season. There are occasional showers usually associated with the change in season.
When I think about rain, apart from the smell of mud, greenery, cool breeze, there is something else which comes to my mind – A hot cup of tea with a plate of hot crispy Kanda Bhajiyas or Onion Pakoras. Pakora is nothing but a deep fried snack (fritter) which is very popular in India.
Last week, there were a few showers in Bahrain and of course it was a must to make Kanda Bhajiyas. We had a great time enjoying the bhajiyas and tea in the balcony watching it rain… π
Here is a very simple paratha recipe. It serves as a great breakfast or lunch option as well as a great tiffin box option for my toddler and lunch box option for my hubby. Great isnβt it?
