Whole Wheat Banana Muffins (Eggless)

Whole Wheat Banana Muffins is a very simple and tasty muffins recipe which uses over-ripe bananas and whole wheat flour, thus making them really healthy.
Ingredients
  • Whole Wheat Flour: 1 and ½ cups
  • Bicarbonate of Soda: ½ tsp
  • Baking Powder: 1 tsp
  • Salt: A pinch
  • Butter: ½ cup melted
  • Ripe Bananas: 5 big
  • Sugar: ¼ cup
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tbsp
  • Vanilla Essence: 1 tsp
Instructions
  1. Line the muffin tray with muffin liners. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Sieve together the whole wheat flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and salt.
  3. In a bowl mash the bananas. Add sugar to the bananas and mix well.
  4. Add butter, vanilla essence and lemon juice to the banana-sugar mixture and mix well.
  5. Gently fold in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. The muffin batter is ready.
  6. Put the muffin batter in the muffin liners till ¾ full.
  7. Place in oven and let cook for 20-25 minutes. Time required for baking the muffins might vary based on oven used. Insert toothpick in the center of the muffin to check if it comes out clean. If yes, the muffins are ready.
Notes
You can increase or decrease the amount of sugar added based on the sweetness of the bananas used.
