Corn cutlet or corn pattice is a very delicious and easy to make recipe of sweet corn and potatoes. A perfect tea time snack or tiffin box option for kids.
Ingredients
  • Sweet Corn: 1 cup
  • Potatoes: 4 medium boiled and mashed
  • Onion: 1 finely chopped
  • Garlic: 5 cloves
  • Ginger : 1 inch
  • Green Chilies: 2
  • Lemon: ½
  • Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp
  • Chili Powder: 1 tsp
  • Bread slices: 4
  • Coriander: 2 tbsp finely chopped
  • Salt: 1 tsp
  • Bread Crumbs: As required
Instructions
  1. Boil sweet corn and blend to rough paste along with garlic, ginger and green chilies.
  2. Mix together mashed potatoes, onion, coriander and corn paste.
  3. Add lemon juice, turmeric powder, chili powder and salt.
  4. Soak bread slices in water, squeeze out the excess water and add the bread to the mixture. Mix well.
  5. Divide into small balls. Flatten each ball and dip in bread crumbs to cover on all sides.
  6. Shallow fry on non stick pan till golden brown on both sides.
Notes
If the mixture feels too sticky, you can add bread crumbs to it
