Cheesy Rice is a very simple rice recipe which combines together rice, veggies and cheese into a delightful combination. Very easy to make and tasty too!
Ingredients
  • Butter: 1 tbsp
  • Bay Leaves: 3
  • Garlic: 3 cloves finely chopped
  • Onions: 1 medium chopped
  • Capsicum: 1 chopped
  • Basmati Rice: 1 cup
  • Coriander Leaves: ½ cup finely chopped
  • Tomatoes: 2 medium peeled and chopped
  • Salt: 1 tsp
  • Pepper: ¼ tsp
  • Chili Powder: ¼ tsp
  • Water: 2 and ½ cups
  • Cheese: ½ cup grated
Instructions
  1. Wash and soak rice in water for ½ hour.
  2. Melt butter in a pan. Add bay leaves and garlic. Stir fry for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add onion and stir fry till translucent.
  4. Add all other ingredients except cheese and mix well.
  5. Add heated water and cook on medium heat till rice is completely cooked.
  6. Add cheese and serve hot.
