Palak Paratha is a delicious and healthy paratha recipe which serves as an excellent breakfast, snack or tiffin box option. It can also serve as an excellent finger food for toddlers.
Ingredients
Palak leaves: 2 cups finely chopped
Wheat Flour: 1 and ½ to 2 cups
Chili Powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder: ½ tsp
Sesame Seeds: 1 tsp
Carom Seeds: 1 tsp
Oil: 2 tsp
Potato: 1 small boiled and grated
Salt: to taste
Instructions
Mix together all the ingredients mentioned above and knead into dough. Do not add water. Usually the vegetable you are using for the paratha will leave some juice which would be sufficient to knead the dough.
Divide the dough into 10 equal portions and roll out each portion into a circle of 6″ diameter.
Heat a Pan and cook each paratha till golden brown spots appear on both sides. Serve with butter, chutney, ketchup, curd or pickle. In my house everyone prefers eating it with butter.
