Whole wheat chocolate pancakes – yummy pancakes with a healthy twist. This recipe of chocolate pancakes uses whole wheat flour instead of all purpose flour which is generally used for pancakes, hence making it really healthy.
Ingredients
Whole Wheat flour: 1 and ½ cups
Milk: 1 cup
Yogurt: ½ cup
Eggs: 2
Baking Powder: 1 and ½ tsp
Vanilla Essence: 1 tsp
Sugar: ¼ cup
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: ¼ cup
Choco chips: ¼ cup (optional)
Salt: to taste
Butter: to make pancakes
Instructions
Mix all the ingredients mentioned above except butter and whisk to form smooth batter.
Heat a pan. Add 1 tsp of butter and spread around. Add 1 ladleful of pancake batter on the pan and spread in circular motion. Keep covered.
Cook both sides till brown.
Notes
These pancakes are not very sweet. You can alter the sugar added as per your taste. Alternatively you can serve them with honey or a little chocolate sauce as I did
