A very simple recipe for Mac and Cheese or Macaroni and Cheese. Macaroni is tossed in a creamy sauce and topped with cheese to make this simple dish
Ingredients
  • Macaroni: 1 cup
  • Cheddar Cheese: 1 cup shredded
  • Milk: 2 cups
  • All Purpose Flour: 3 tbsp
  • Butter: 2 tbsp
  • Sweet Corn : ½ cup
  • Mushrooms: ½ cup chopped into small pieces
  • Pepper Powder: 1-2 tsp
  • Salt: to taste
Instructions
  1. Take sufficient water in a pan. Add macaroni with salt and let cook till it is soft. Drain and keep aside.
  2. In a pan, heat the butter. Add all purpose flour and stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the milk and keep stirring on medium flame till it mixes well.
  4. Add sweet corn, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Close lid and let cook till the corn and mushroom is cooked and the sauce becomes creamy.
  5. Add cheese and mix well.
  6. Add the macaroni and mix well. Cook for a further 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot garnished with shredded cheese.
