Creamy Pesto Pasta

Creamy Pesto Pasta is a delicious recipe in which pasta is tossed in basil pesto sauce which consists of crushed garlic, pine nuts, fresh basil leaves and Parmesan cheese, all blended with olive oil.
Ingredients
  • Penne Pasta: 4 cups
  • Olive Oil: 2 tbsp
  • Basil Pesto: 1 cup
  • Heavy Cream: 125 ml
  • Parmesan Cheese: ¼ cup grated
  • Salt: to taste
  • Pepper: ¼ tsp
Instructions
  1. Cook pasta in a large pan of boiling water till done.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil. Add pesto and mix well in the oil. Keep stirring till the pesto is warm and a little bubbly.
  3. Add the heavy cream slowly and keep stirring. Reduce the heat and continue to stir to incorporate the cream and pesto.
  4. Add salt and pepper and mix well.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and mix well to cover all the pasta in the creamy sauce.
  6. Add parmesan cheese, give a stir and remove from flame.
