Paneer Popcorn

Paneer Popcorn is a crunchy paneer appetizer\snack recipe which is easy to make and sure to be a hit with kids.
Ingredients
  • Paneer: 1 and ¼ cup cut into ½ inch pieces
  • All purpose flour (maida) : ¼ cup
  • Red Chili Powder: 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala: ¾ tsp
  • Pepper Powder: ½ tsp
  • Ginger Paste: 1 tsp
  • Garlic Paste: 1 tsp
  • Dried Basil: ½ tsp
  • Dried Oregano: ½ tsp
  • Salt: to taste
  • Bread Crumbs: ½ cup
  • Oil: to deep fry
Instructions
  1. Mix together the Maida, ¾ tsp chili powder, garam masala, pepper powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, dried basil, dried oregano and salt to taste.
  2. Add a little less than ¾ cup of water to the maida mixture and make a thick paste. The paste should not be very runny.
  3. In the bread crumbs, add salt to taste and ¼ tsp red chili powder.
  4. Add the paneer cubes to the maida mixture and then dip it in the bread crumbs to coat it.
  5. Keep the paneer pieces in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  6. Heat the oil in a kadai. Once hot, deep fry the paneer pieces till golden brown and crispy.
  7. The paneer popcorn tastes good when eaten with tomato ketchup.
