Onion Pakodas or Kanda Bhajiya are fritters made of onion and gram flour. These pakodas are a very popular street food in India.
Ingredients
  • Onion: 3 cups finely sliced
  • Chickpea flour (Besan): 1 cup
  • Rice flour: 4 tbsp
  • Baking Soda: ¼ tsp
  • Carom Seeds: ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric Powder: ½ tsp
  • Coriander: ½ cup chopped
  • Chilli Powder: 2-3 tsp
  • Coriander Powder: 1 tsp
  • Ginger Paste: ½ tsp
  • Salt: to taste
  • Oil: for deep frying
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a deep bottom pan.
  2. Mix all the ingredients mentioned above with around ¾ cup water and mix well.
  3. Drop 1 tsp of pakoda batter in the hot oil and fry till golden brown and crispy
