Kingfish Curry

Any food blog by Goans would be incomplete without a fish curry recipe. In a typical Goan household, a meal usually consists of fish curry and rice of course accompanied by kadi, fried fish, kismoor and several other Goan specialties. In-spite of being away from Goa for the last 10 years, our love for Goa and Goan food has only increased over years. And surprisingly, my 3 year old who has always been away from Goa, loves Goan food too. Maybe its in the genes, as my husband says…LOL :)

We really hope that through our blog, we are able to put together all the Goan recipes for those people who want to experience the Goan cuisine and also for those Goans, who like us are away from our beloved land. For Goan seafood lovers, some other recipes which might interest you are: Stuffed Mackerel, Rawa Fried Kingfish, Crab Masala, Prawns Sukhe, Prawns Dangar, Prawns Balchaon and Mackerel Pickle.

In this curry recipe, I have used King fish. But you can replace it with any other fish like Pompret, Lady fish etc. The preparation for Mackerel Curry is slightly different from this curry, so if you are interested you can have a look at it.
