Pasta Salad or Hawaiian Pasta Salad

Pasta Salad or Hawaiian Pasta Salad is one of the most commonly found salad in the salad spreads in buffets. Since pasta is equally enjoyed by kids and adults, this pasta salad is a sure hit. Also as this salad has pasta, it is quite filling. Thus this pasta salad can serve as a snack as well. I typically serve this Hawaiian Pasta Salad with some spicy starter (Chicken Cafreal – a Portuguese – Goan speciality, Chicken Manchurian or Fried Chicken) and ola my dinner is ready :)

Ingredients:
Pasta (Fuseli) : 3/4th cup
Pineapple : 1/2 cup (cut as bite size pieces)
Potato : 1/3rd cup (cut as bite size pieces)
Capsicum : 1/3rd cup (cut as bite size pieces)
Mayonnaise : 1/3rd cup
Pineapple Juice : 5 – 6 tbsp
Honey : 1 tsp
Salt : as per taste
Pepper : as per taste

Method of Preparation:

  1. Boil the pasta as per packet instructions and keep aside.
  2. For making the dressing, combine the mayonnaise, pineapple juice, honey, salt and pepper and beat well to have a smooth texture.
  3. Add the pasta, pineapple, potato and capsicum in a large bowl. Add the dressing and toss gently. Keep it in refrigerator for atleast 30 min. This Hawaiian Pasta Salad tastes best when served cold.
