Pomegranate Smoothie

Pomegranate Smoothie is a refreshing combination of fresh pomegranate juice with thick curds resulting in a healthy and filling drink. This pomegranate smoothie can be enjoyed as a filling breakfast drink or as a healthy snacking option.

As the summer is slowly approaching, I have started my hunt for some refreshing and healthy drinks. The health benefits of pomegranates are loads so this is one fruit which is must have in ones diet. They are rich in vitamins as well as have antioxidant properties.

Here is a very easy to prepare pomegranate smoothie recipe.

Preparation Time : 10 min
Cooking Time : na

Ingredients :
Pomegranate Seeds : 1/2 cup
Curds : 1 cup
Honey : 1 tsp
Sugar : as per taste

Method of Preparation:

  1. Add the pomegranate seeds in the juicer jar and give a quick run. Allowing to mixer to run for to long will lead the innermost part of the pomegranate seeds to be crushed resulting in a bitterness. Strain the juice using a strainer. You will get approximately 1/2 cup of clear pomegranate juice.
  2. Clean the juicer unit and add the fresh pomegranate juice, curds, honey and sugar (if using) and run till the contents are well- blended. Add ice cubes to a glass and pour the pomegranate smoothie in it. Garnish with some pomegranate seeds or as per your liking. Your yummy and healthy pomegranate smoothie is ready.
