Layered Chocolate Cheesecake


Layered Chocolate Cheesecake is one of the absolute indulgence kinda desserts in my dessert list. And why not? We all love chocolate and cheese. Dont we ? ? This layered chocolate cheese cake does complete justice to both its core ingredients and brings them together in a subtle and beautiful way.


Preparation Time : 15 min
Baking Time : 45 min

Ingredients
:
Butter : 2 tbsp
Oil : 1/2 cup
Thick curds : 3 tbsp
Cocoa : 3 tbsp
Powdered Sugar : 7/8 cup
Eggs : 2
All-purpose Flour (maida) : 1 cup

For the cheese filling:
Ricotta cheese : 1 cup
Powdered Sugar : 2 tbsp
Egg : 1

Method of Preparation:

  1. Melt the butter in a pan on a low flame. Remove the butter from flame and let cool for 2 min.
  2. Add the Oil and curds to the butter and mix.
  3. Add the powdered sugar and cocoa and mix well.
  4. Beat the eggs well and add them to the above mixture.
  5. Now add the all-purpose flour and stir to mix evenly. Transfer this batter to a well-greased baking loaf tin.
  6. Moving to the cheesecake mix – In another bowl, add the sugar, ricotta cheese and egg and mix well. Then gently add this mixture to the tin with batter. Add it only in the centre so that the sides contain only the cocoa cake mix.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven (180 degrees) for 40-45 minutes till the cake is firm to touch. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack. Transfer the cake to a dish. Cut into thick slices and serve. This Layered Chocolate Cheesecake can be enjoyed plain or will a dollop of chocolate or any icecream of your choice.
