Prawn Capsicum masala is a combination of prawns and capsicum in a slightly spicy and tangy onion-tomato based gravy. The capsicum is fried and added to the gravy to prevent it from becoming too mushy.
Both Deepa(co-owner of this blog) and me absolutely love prawns. So you are sure to find lots and lots of prawn recipes here. Whenever I have any get-together at my place, some prawn recipe has to figure in either the appetizers list(Prawn Cutlets, Prawn Pockets or goan special Prawn Dangar) or the main-course list. If its main course I often end up making another Goan-Portuguese speciality Prawn Balchao. But this time I wanted to try something slightly different. So tried this simple Prawn Capsicum Masala. Needless to say, turned out great. After-all as far as prawns are concerned, any recipe is likely to turn out great ? This Prawn Capsicum Masala recipe often frequents on my menu when we have guests now.
