A very healthy and tasty pancake recipe which your kid is sure to enjoy. Most of the pancake recipes which I had read online used all purpose flour. However, this smiley pancake is made with wheat flour which makes it really healthy.
Makes: 7 pancakes
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
Wheat flour: 1 and 1/2 cups
Milk: 1 cup
Yoghurt: 1/2 cup
Eggs: 2
Baking Powder: 2 tsp
Vanilla Essence: 1 tsp
Sugar: 5 tbsp
Salt: to taste
Butter: to make pancakes
Fruits: for making smiley
Method of Preparation:
- Mix all the ingredients mentioned above except butter and whisk to form smooth batter.
- Heat a pan. Add 1 tsp of butter and spread around. Add 1 ladleful of pancake batter on the pan and spread in circular motion. Keep covered.
- Cook both sides till brown.
- I always believe that the more colorful the food, the more likely it is that kids will enjoy it. Hence, I have used fruits which I had available with me to make a smiley on the pancake. It was a hit with my 3 year old. Hope your kid loves it too
